Bless him! Read “The Million Year Picnic” when I was about 12 and the ending scared me so much I didn’t read anything by Bradbury for about another 20 years!! After which I became a Bradbury devotee.

He wonders why he’s lived so-long .i think it’s because he loves what he does and because he IS loved and adored by so-many people .

I want to read some of Ray Bradbury, where should I start?

  • this man changed my life

  • love2bsweet ~
Bradbury once was skinny. But years go by and things change. This year, 2009, Bradbury will be 89 years old!
Still gets out and speaks before crowds, signs books, and continues to produce stage plays around his writings.

I have an alternate YOUTUBE website with many Bradbury videos. Latest is from the closing of his play last month, of Fahrenheit 451.

End of this month, January, 2009, his new play opens, The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit. Check out:

Yes he’s definitely still alive. Ackerman not so much.

  • I read a short his short story I´ll Never Forget You in the Reader´s digest. It was so beautiful. I still kept a clipping of it, now yellowish and crispy. Is he still alive?

  • Female teachers are often bitches. If they like, they like you, if they **** you, they **** you. I had a female teacher who liked me and I liked her back of course.

  • Awesome body of work . . . .

Still enjoy rereading many of his works.

  • netcinema- I am sorry if I said anything offensive. Its just that Ray Bradbury reminds me of an English professor who I had that really supported my writing. But there are some good woman professors out there, I meant to say.

  • Is there a Russian to English translator in the house?
    Thanks for posting, however. TeMhblu!!

  • geekgirl310 ~ Can’t agree with you on the woman teacher not being stern enough. I had 8 years of brutal Dominican Roman Catholic nuns for teachers. Beaten hand with rulers, ears pulled out of their proper roots, faces slapped, heads slapped, in order for us to pay attention to the lessons being taught. In that case, I think I finally learned the fundamentals of diagramming sentences. I think I did. But my ears are still ringing.

I say…male writers/professors are the best teachers. Not female professor’s because woman favor too much and not only that they are not stern enough.
